José Artés de
Arcos, as an entrepreneur, founded his own company, José
Artés de Arcos S.A., a Spanish company within the industrial sector
of automobile spares, making headlights, horns, instrument panels and
dashboards, steering wheels, etc. etc. He introduced into Spain the French
multinational Jaeger and formed the partnership Artés-Jaeger,
whose factories can be found in Barberá del Vallés, in the Barcelona province,
where they make all types of automobile electronics for different European
carmakers. He also brought to Spain the French headlight manufacturer
Cibié, with whom he set up a company called
P.A.S.A. This time, taking advantage of the
industrialization plans in the south of Spain, he built the factory in
Martos, in the Jaen province. José Artés de Arcos S.A. had centres of
production in Barcelona, Madrid and Almería, from where he supplied Spanish
